About IT
Why Should You Join ITS?

ITS (Industrial technology Society) is a Society you can join that will give you a leading edge over other IT students. In this society you will be given the opportunity to participate in or gain hands-on experience. You will also have the opportunity to go to competitions, conferences and tours of facilities. Its has speakers, resume building workshops, interviewing skills workshops, tours of the campus to show you what resources are available to you as a student and how to go about using them. ITS is also a great way for an IT to get to know fellow ITs’ and professors. Below I have listed a summary of what you gain from ITS and the membership fees. The meetings are every other Thursday. Look at the “Meeting Dates” posting for specifics.

• Free T-Shirt ($10 value)
• Free lunch ($50 value) (non members lunch $3)
• Interviewing experience
• Resume building workshops
• Attend tours, conventions and competitions
• Guest speakers
• Build relationships with IT’s and professors
• Gain hands–on experience (helps build resume)
• Tour of Cal Poly resources
• Membership in NAIT ($20 value) (helps build resume)

Cost: Freshman FREE

Others: $50 per year (Fall, Winter and Spring included) This also include NAIT’s $20 fee for annual membership

If you are unable to afford these fees please feel free to contact me. Also if you are not an IT but would like to set in our meetings and join us for lunch PLEASE feel free to do so. You can buy lunch for $3 if you want and we’d love to have your support.
